6:50 AM — The alarm goes off and I prise my eyes open. First things first: a quick scroll through emails on my phone to check nothing urgent has landed overnight (fingers crossed).
7:00 AM — Up and into the morning routine — a wash on, a few household chores, then shower and get ready for the day ahead.
8:10–8:15 AM — I arrive at the office and settle in at my desk. I work through overnight emails, replying to anything urgent, then check the day's schedule, review upcoming bookings and events, and map out my priorities.
8:30 AM — Catch-up time with Morgan, our brilliant Client Services Co-ordinator. While she handles the morning duties — setting up meeting rooms and running kitchen checks to make sure we're stocked and ready — we swap notes on how her evening was and align on the day's priorities.
9:00 AM — I greet our members as they pass my office on the way to theirs. Honestly, this is one of my favourite parts of the day — it's what gives Elizabeth House its community feel.
9:30 AM — Time to follow up on renewals and outstanding licence agreements: chasing signatures, sending proposals, and talking through upgrades or downgrades where needed.
10:00 AM — Centre Managers' meeting. All nine of us catch up with our Operations Director, and occasionally hear from guest speakers across HR, property or accounts. A valuable chance to raise concerns and stay aligned.
12:00 PM — I cover the phones while Morgan takes her lunch break. It takes me right back to my previous days working on reception — and I still enjoy it.
1:00 PM — Lunch — usually leftovers from dinner — followed by a browse of the shops or just some fresh air being located 2 minutes walk from city centre it's perfect for window shopping!
2:00 PM — Back at my desk to push through outstanding licence agreements and follow up with leads, keeping my activity feed current.
3:00 PM — A walk around the centre to make sure everything's running smoothly, followed by a well-earned hot chocolate from our new coffee machine (which has been a genuine hit with all our members).
3:30 PM — I check Job Logic (our internal maintenance log) for outstanding jobs, log anything I've spotted around the centre, and work through the necessary tasks.
4:00 PM — With an hour left, I prepare the post for the courier and make sure everything's ready to go.
4:30 PM — Bins out, meeting rooms closed down with Morgan, tomorrow's supplies restocked, and a final check that all keys are returned and cabinets locked.
5:00 PM — If I'm not heading to my second job, I walk home — my chance to unwind, think about dinner, and (gently) put my partner on cooking duty for around 7 PM. Cooking really isn't my thing.
7:45 PM — After dinner, a bit of tidying, the washing put away, and a good series to unwind with.
9:30 PM — Hopefully asleep by now, ready to do it all again tomorrow.
