We opened our 22nd office at Elizabeth House in November 2019. This office brings the first national specialist family law firm to Chelmsford and provides the city and Essex more broadly with access to the extensive expertise of a firm of almost 100 dedicated family law solicitors.

In addition, clients benefit from an in-house forensic accountancy team providing bespoke advice in complex divorces involving business, international assets, trust structures and tax implications. This combination makes us unique as a firm in Chelmsford and nationally.

The Stowe Family Law office in Chelmsford includes Managing Partner, Sebastian Burrows; Solicitor, Lucy Birch and; Office Manager, Christine Flint. Both Sebastian and Lucy are involved in Resolution, the largest membership organisation for family justice professionals in England and Wales promoting a non-confrontational approach, which results in better outcomes for families and children. This leads to working closely and constructively with other family lawyers to focus on pragmatic solutions for clients whether this involves careful negotiations with mediation or whether cases are more suitable for court proceedings to ensure fair and appropriate outcomes.
